Putter Clones

For the more duplicitous golfer who is trying to win a game at any cost or of the braggart golfer who is all surface and no substance there is such thing as a putter clone. Putter clones look like the more expensive model putter's but are definitely not the same thing as the name brand putters. With similar head size and appearance the putter clones can often make off as being something that they're not and maybe even fool an amateur golfer in competition. However, something like putter clones would never be able to fool a true professional who knows feel and look of his own putter.

One of the differences in the putter clones and their legitimate counterparts obviously is price. While a real Ping putter may cost several hundred or even thousands of dollars depending upon the model and the customization involved, you can get a Ping putter clone for mere fractions of that amount. By the same token, a putter brand like Odyssey can cause professional golfers thousands of dollars for an original, custom-made Odyssey putter; however Odyssey putter clones are made on the extreme cheap, at the rate of something like five or $100 so you can see the difference in just that one example..

If you're shopping for putter clone and don't know where to look probably one of the easiest places to go is your golf shop at your local course. The pro shop can often times show you things that you thought completely unavailable in your area and they have access to a database that is probably a lot more comprehensive than even you could find on your own.

However if you are convinced that you need to be able to locate these items in your own manner then you can do a search on the World Wide Web for whatever type of putter clone you are looking for. In my own experience I will tell you that the more specific you get the less results you get so be as broad as possible as the much wider spectrum of putter clone alternatives may lead you to the more specific brand of putter clone your looking for.

And while cheating has never been endorsed in any sport there is a very real possibility that you could slip out someone else's club for a putter clone at the last minute and do the great old switcheroo that would render your opponent helpless as they made it onto the green and were unable to sink that putt. And that is the last thing anyone on the course ever wants.
